Weekly events, public defends Keizer city diversity committee

City park planners have invited you to share feedback and ideas on a new playground at Riverfront Park.
Last year, the city received a grant to rebuild the 26-year-old playground and make it more accessible for anyone to enjoy. On Thursday night, the city is hosting a focus group to gather public insight that will help park planners design a new and accessible playground.
The city is considering an accessible merry-go-round and a sensory quiet area. More information about the potential playground and the new grant are available online.
The focus group will take place Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the city’s Operations Building, which is located at 1457 23rd St. S.E. There will be beverages and snacks available.
