New bagel cart opens, Salem students compete in cooking competition
Good morning, Salem.
Even though school is closed next week for spring break, Salem students will still be able to get school lunches on Monday, March 24, and Wednesday, March 26.
The Salem-Keizer School District is providing free meals to students from any school in the area, not just students in the district. A list of local schools will be offering curbside pickup of meal packs, which will contain two lunches each.
Students can pick up meals between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Meals will be available at eight schools around Salem, including North Salem High School and Houck and Waldo Middle Schools. A full list of the schools distributing free meals is available online.
