Good morning, Salem.

Southeast Battle Creek Road is getting a new roundabout to connect to the new bridge over Interstate 5.

It's part of the multi-year Oregon Department of Transportation project underway to widen I-5 through south Salem. The agency is partnering with Marion County on the new roundabout connecting Battle Creek Road to Southeast Wiltsey Street.

The agency announced the work in an email Wednesday and said construction would begin soon. Access will be maintained on current roads while new ones are built.
