Marion County to adopt budget, care facility oversight
Good morning, Salem.
If you're in need of a last-minute summer camp or rec sports league this summer, the city of Salem has options.
The city last week released its summer recreation program guide. Some camps begin as early as next week, and there's space in many of them. Options include day camps in neighborhood parks, tree climbing at Silver Falls State Park and tennis camp.
The program's future was uncertain due to city budget challenges, but with voters approving a tax levy in May, programs are going on as usual. Registration is open online.
