An aura of joy permeated Salem's Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Walk Monday as hundreds of people came together to talk to one another and walk through the Grant neighborhood.
It's part of an ongoing effort to promote peace walks through Salem neighborhoods and engage residents in curbing shootings and violence by bringing a positive community presence.
