Homeless service provider Church at the Park expanded operations this week, opening a new family shelter in Dallas on Monday.
The site currently has space for two households with up to 12 people, and renovations are ongoing on an outbuilding that will have space for two more families.
The Salem-based organization has grown rapidly in recent years as local shelter options have expanded thanks to increased state funding. Church at the Park also operates three micro shelter sites in Salem and is preparing another shelter in Monmouth.
