City offices moving, second sewage spill this week
Good morning, Salem.
A faith leader, a community volunteer, a veteran and a longtime chef are being honored next week for their time giving back to the Salem community.
This year’s honorees for Salem First Citizen awards include Distinguished Service Award recipients Ronnie Brooks, pastor and founder of To God Be The Glory Church; and Derek Gilbert, board member of Salem Main Street Association and Darian’s Gift, an organization supporting children with cancer.
Andrew Holbert, executive director of Courtney Place Veterans Housing, who will receive the Outstanding Young Professional award at the banquet March 8.
Longtime chef and business owner Gregg Peterson will receive the First Citizen Award, which is the year’s highest civic honor. Salem Reporter will have a profile of Peterson ahead of the award banquet.
