Good morning, Salem.

Registration is open for an annual youth event to help teenagers learn about leadership development and college and career readiness.

On Saturday, March 1, the city is hosting its ILEAD Youth Summit for high schoolers from Marion, Polk and Linn counties to enjoy a full day of free workshops, a resource fair, giveaways and free lunch.

This year’s workshops include ones on preparing for college, managing anxiety, building confidence and budgeting. Local leaders from nonprofits, higher education and businesses will present the workshops.

The summit will take place at the Knudson Branch of the Boys & Girls Club at 1395 Summer St. N.E. Registration is available online here. The event is free.
