Good morning, Salem.

Summer is a ways off yet, but one of Salem's signature summer events is seeking artists, vendors and performers.

Applications are open for the Englewood Forest Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9, in Englewood Park. The festival's goal is to promote environmental education, support the arts and inspire youth.

Local Salem performers are prioritized, organizers said, and organizers encourage interested parties to apply by March 15.
