The city of Salem is seeking your photos of lesser-known historic landmarks for an annual photo contest.
Photographers of all ages are invited to submit images of historic buildings and scenes in Salem through May 5. There are prizes in both youth and adult divisions.
"Over the years we’ve seen some common favorites, like Bush Park, Deepwood Estate, Boone’s Treasury, and the Ladd & Bush Building. This year we invite you to find those little-known or overlooked gems that also tell the tale of Salem from long ago. Our downtown and neighborhoods are full of buildings, alleys and quirky features for you to uncover," the city's announcement says.
More information about the contest and details on submissions are here.
