Good morning, Salem.

If you’re driving on Interstate 5 at night next week, you could come across road closures between Delaney Road and Kuebler Boulevard.

As part of a project to widen I-5 between the road and boulevard, the South Commercial Street off ramp on northbound I-5 will be closed from from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. April 23-24. To detour around the closure, drive to Kuebler Boulevard, exit 252, turn left and reconnect with South Commercial Street.

During the same time, the right southbound I-5 lane will be closed around one mile north of the Delaney Road exit.

The closures will allow for new beams to be installed in the Commercial Street Bridge. More information about the widening project is available on the Oregon Department of Transportation website here.
