After record fatal crashes in 2024, Salem police plan to focus on traffic safety

Following a record number of fatal crashes in 2024, the Salem Police Department will focus on enforcing traffic safety and educating the public for the next three years as part of a new strategic plan. During 2024, Salem police responded to 21 fatal crashes, but the Salem area had 26 in total.
