The state Department of Human Services asked for public help Wednesday in finding a teen it said has been missing from Salem since Nov. 29 and is believed to be in danger.

Anyone who believes they see Mia Macias, 16, should call 911 or local law enforcement, the department’s Child Welfare Division said in a news release.

Macias is a teen in foster care and is suspected to be in the Silverton or Salem-Keizer area.

The department said Macias is 5-feet-5, 110 pounds, has dark brown and black hair with red and blue, and has a pierced lip.

Child abuse can be reported at any hour of any day to the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline by calling 1-855-503-SAFE (7233).
